Education Initiatives

In India, only 1/3rd of 5-year-olds can count objects and nearly half of rural grade 5 students can’t read Grade 2 texts.

In our joyful early learning model, trained local teachers strengthen foundational learning in children.

Our Process

How the model works

Krishna Niketan is a joyful early learning model for children aged 3–5 that builds strong foundations through play, curiosity, and learning by doing.
Children learn through age-appropriate, activity-based curricula, developed with partner JBNSS. Local teachers from the community are trained through a proven, six-month program, called the Nursery Teacher Training program (NTT) to lead pre-primary centers in each village.
Each Krishna Niketan acts as a feeder to Yash Vidya Mandir school, offering a subsidized pathway to project-based learning up to Grade 12, ensuring continuity into adolescence and adulthood.
